"OPERATION REBUILD HAITI" MISSION TRIP 2012
Base location for week one was at the Church of God of Prophecy Orphanage in Ca-Ira, Haiti along the bay outside Leogane about 40 minutes west of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.
I stayed at the orphanage for one week, then in my second week I stayed in Port-Au-Prince at a guest house of the head pastor of the largest church in Port-Au-Prince. It is my hope and prayer that that pastor can come sometime to Teen Quest's mission weeks and speak about the need in Haiti. He has expressed interest and intent to do so, so pray that God make a way to see him come here.
During our time we constructed and raised 2 metal roofs on 2 churches and placed roofs over 2 pastors in the region.
We also visited the churches that had been constructed the year before by the same team and they were packed out with standing room only and people crowded outside to hear through the windows. Their pastors were begging us to come back and build onto their buildings.
God willing with your prayers and support I hope to go again this coming year to see my new friends in Haiti. I am looking for how God may make a way for me to go. I so desire to go again to the Ca-Ira orphanage and help with the construction. Pray that God will make a way and provide the support to go.
